Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of the two shows she starred in on Roseanne. However, her parents were not keen to let her take on acting roles until she was older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry, who was too shy to be a part of the theater in her high school, started to act in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, moved to New York in search of TV roles. She landed small parts on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness brought her back to California in search of theater jobs. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015, she starred alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning Drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. Her father played her on The ABC Drama Scandal. That same year she appeared as a younger character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a younger version. She got the part in an audition that was open despite being connected to this role.
